Alex C. Etzkowitz is a vice president in the Investment Research & Strategy department at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management. Mr. Etzkowitz is responsible for publishing various market-based white papers and reports, performing portfolio analyses and reviews, making structural recommendations for incoming portfolios and tax loss harvesting recommendations for managed portfolios, and advising the firm's existing clients on strategies and services of the firm.
Prior to joining Gurtin Municipal Bond Management in August 2015, Mr. Etzkowitz worked as an investment analyst at TFMG Associates, a family office in New York City. Prior to his tenure at TFMG, Mr. Etzkowitz worked as an analyst at Cornerstone Research in Los Angeles where he was responsible for preparing economic and financial analyses for commercial litigation proceedings.
Mr. Etzkowitz earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, graduating with Dean’s Honors, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Pomona College. Mr. Etzkowitz is also a CFA® charterholder.
