Christopher A. Blubaugh is a vice president and senior information security officer in the Technology department at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management. Mr. Blubaugh is responsible for leading our growing network administration team as we bolster our security diligence and continue to expand our information technology network infrastructure.
Prior to joining Gurtin Municipal Bond Management in 2017, Mr. Blubaugh served 20 years with the U.S. Marine Corps, where he led many network infrastructure and systems architecture teams. He designed and operated secure communication technology networks in highly demanding environments, including multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medal and two Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
Mr. Blubaugh earned his bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity from the University of Maryland University College, holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) designation, as well as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) designation.
