Erik M. Davidson is a partner and the chief financial officer at Gurtin Municipal Bond Management. Mr. Davidson is responsible for finance administration and operational oversight.
Prior to joining Gurtin Municipal Bond Management in 2014, Mr. Davidson served as director of investments and financial reporting for the San Diego State University Foundation, overseeing daily management of cash and fixed income, administration of various assets including real estate and endowment holdings, and the issuance of tax-exempt bond financing. Previously, Mr. Davidson was the chief financial officer of two different mass market consumer product companies, with experience managing operational teams in Asia and distributing to retailers worldwide. Prior to working in consumer products, Mr. Davidson was a supervising senior accountant at Deloitte & Touche in the financial institutions group and a senior management consultant for Prophet Strategy in San Francisco.
Mr. Davidson earned an MBA with a concentration in finance from the Anderson School at the University of California, Los Angeles and a bachelor’s degree in economics/international area studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. Mr. Davidson is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in California, having earned his CPA designation in 2002, and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of CPAs.
